Life for www.middle-park.com started in May 2006 because my elderly mother was moving into the area and there was nowhere I could find that centrally held information about all the various clubs for the elderly. It took a lot of searching to find what I did for her and even after all my effort, I doubt I got past the tip of the iceberg.

I thought at the time that if I struggled with finding relevant information then perhaps others did too so I set about publishing what I knew. This website is the result so far. Eventually I hope that everyone will also contribute what they know and this website will become our own local encyclopedia crammed full of everything you need to know about life in this lovely area.

The idea behind www.middle-park.com is to showcase our beautiful suburb (Middle Park, Melbourne, Australia) to the rest of the world so while you're here visit the Middle Park gallery or our streetscapes section. It is also intended to provide my community with a place to share information with each other about local things, events and places.

This website is a free community service. There are automated areas such as membership, guestbook, forums and notice boards for people to use.

Since our humble beginnings of 49 unique visitors a month, we now average several thousands, and we appear on the front page of Google, Yahoo and MSN - the world's three biggest search engines - for the phrase Middle Park.

This is a voluntary project on my behalf and please let me know if there are problems with this website, if you have comments to make or you want to add to the information about the suburb.
